Today India celebrates Raksha Bandhan (रक्षा बन्धन) - the festival celebrating brothers and sisters. For those of you who've never lived in India, the sister ties a sacred thread (Rakhi) on her brother's wrist as a symbol of her love and prayers for her brother, while the brother promises to protect her always.
